Good work on the website. Thanks for your dedication to the 10th AD. My father, Ken Cogswell was with the 3rd Tank, B Company. His life in the military was seldom spoke of for 50 years. Then one day on a field trip to see a few Model "A"'s the stories came one after another. The one I enjoyed the most was second hand. When George Patton was in the 3 Cavalry he walked behind a horse and slapped it on the behind. After he was kicked he picked himself up and said, "I guess I had that coming!" For the life of me I can't remember the name of the horse! I can come close but no cigar. Does anyone recall the horse's name?
Thanks,
Tom

My father John (Jack) R Shaffer was a pfc with the 10ths Headquaters Company. He was with the 10th from Georgia through Germany. Does anyone have the locations Headquaters Company was based as they moved through Europe?
Is there a repository of scanned images from the 10th?
Merry Christmas.
Thanks,
Bill Shaffer

My grandfather was 1LT John "Andy" Anderson, 3rd TkBn, 10 AD. He was KIA at Longvilly, Belgium 19 Dec 1944 at one of Team Cherry's roadblocks. I never knew much about him since my dad was only 3 when he died until I started researching for myself (as a history major I am prone to doing such things). I visited his grave in Luxembourg in '94, and through research, a letter from Col. Cherry, and talking with some locals who were there at the time, I was able to trace his final hours, down to within a few yards of where his Sherman was hit 50 years before. Thanks for this website...

Greetings. My dad,George, was part of combat command B, and I remember stories of Metz, Bastogne, Trier, and other places. Most of his recollections were proud and upbeat, of friends and some of the action. He passed at the age of 80 in 2002. He was from Worcester, Mass. If anyone reading this recognizes his name, feel free to drop me a line. God Bless, we remember and give thanks.

Does anyone know where I can get any kind of listing for who was in the 3rd Tank Battalion of the 10th Armored? Also, I've made a tribute page to my grandfather on military.com with some pictures from Ft. Myers, Ft. Benning, Arlington, etc. He was in the old 3rd Cavalry Regiment before they mechanized and move to Georgia to become 10th Armored. That site is at http://www.military.com/HomePage/UserCreatedTributePage/0,10980,851141,00.html
It may take a bit to load because of the pictures, but they are good ones. If any of the pictures jogs anyone's memories, email me at j_frankl@hotmail.com.
Thanks!
James

To the Good People at Old Tiger Cubs,
I love the play on words that makes up your site name.
My father was PFC Anderew R. (Rudy) Milchak. He served in the wire communications section of 150th Armored Signal Co., Combat Command A, 10th Armored Division.
Dad used to ask me, "How are you doing Tiger?" Now I know were that phrase came from.
Sadly, dad past away in September of 1976. I would like to communicate with people who have an interest in the 150th Armored Signal Company.
Respectfully,
Rudy Milchak
