About

My dad at age 20 just prior to the end of the war

My father was a veteran of the Second World War, a member of the 10th Armored Division, 20th Armored Infantry Battalion. This online record is meant as a tribute to his memory, the memory of the 10th AD, and the memory of all of those soldiers of the “Greatest Generation” that saved the world from fascism.

The posts on this blog will, for the most part, revolve around my father’s experience during the war, as well as preserving the history of the 10th Armored Division in a format that can be accessed and studied by young and old alike, that we may be able to gain an appreciation of what our fathers and grand-fathers did in the greatest conflict that the world has ever known.
